Wash Our Hands

​

Handwashing is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your family from getting sick. Top Creative Education Hub provides some advice for when and how you should wash your hands to stay healthy.

​

When should we wash our hands?

•  Before handling food or eating

•  After coming home

•  After sports or playing outside

•  After going to the toilet, coughing or sneezing

•  After changing nappies

•  After handling items soiled by the face, respiratory tract or other body secretions

•  Before and after visiting hospitals or residential care homes

•  After making contact with animals or poultry

• ​

Steps for proper hand washing

•  Wet hands under running water

•  Apply liquid soap and rub hands together to make a soapy lather

•  Away from the running water, rub the palms, back of hands, between fingers, back of fingers, thumbs, finger tips and wrists. Do this for at least 20 seconds

•  Rinse hands thoroughly under running water

•  Dry hands thoroughly with either a clean towel or a paper towel

•  Avoid direct contact between clean hands and the taps

• ​

Alcohol-based hand sanitizers make a good substitute for handwashing when soap and water is not available.

親愛的家長:

正確洗手不可缺

​

洗手是保護自己和家人不生病的最佳方法之一。 啟蒙教育大樓為各位家長建議在何時以及如何正確洗手以保持健康。

我們什麼時候應該洗手？

•  處理食物及進食前

•  外出回家後

•  運動或在戶外玩耍後

•  如廁、咳嗽或打噴嚏後

•  更換尿布後

•  處理被面部，呼吸道或其他身體分泌物弄髒的物品後

•  探訪醫院及院舍之前後

•  接觸動物或家禽後

正確洗手的步驟

• 開水喉沖洗雙手

• 加入梘液，用手擦出泡沫

• 最少用二十秒時間揉擦手掌、手背、指隙、指背、拇指、指尖及手腕，揉擦時切勿沖水

• 洗擦後，才用清水將雙手徹底沖洗乾淨

• 用乾淨毛巾或抹手紙徹底抹乾雙手

• 雙手洗乾淨後，不要再直接觸摸水龍頭

當沒有梘液和清水沖洗雙手時，可以酒精類洗手液代替清潔雙手。
